Elevated at 1498 m altitude, the location of Aritar comes under the Rongli sub-division in the East Sikkim district. This is a popular travel destination in the Northeast Indian state of Sikkim. Deep jungle, rivers and mountains are the characteristics of Aritar which is isolated from rest of the state at the edge of the Himalayas.
